New Year's Eve with tfamily 2005

New Year's Eve was fun; it was the same as every other year.

I think I may have to implement a new rule: spend thanksgiving and christmas with family, but spend new year's eve with friends.

we do the twelve grapes also....

i spent new years with my family and then left with my friends to party because there is nothing better than getting drinking and enjoying ur friends on new years day.

Yeah, I need to spend next NYE with friends.

Do you put your grapes in the champagne (actuallym, apple cider) or do you just eat them from your hand?

how do you make torilas from scratch? i really want to make some. i used to watch my aunt make them when i was like 5 or something, but i dont remember. do you have any idea??? homemade ones are SO good!

I have no idea how you make them. You make the "masa" for them and throw them on a comal/stovetop.

They are soooooo much better. I have no clue how to make them though.

oh man, you should have join us for NY Eve...it was a low key evening at Jared and Vicki's place...most of us weren't ready to drink anymore given the hangover we had for most of the day.

my apple cider had more than apple cider in it and that's probably why i was smashed all through the night, well into the morning. All of yesterday i was eating posole. Posole and Menudo fix everything. EVERYTHING. jaja.

Posole and I don't mix. Maybe it's because i'm not Mexican.

A completely sober new year's isn't a good new year's. There has to be some level of intoxication to spice things up. :-)

I didn't spend NYE with my family, but it is traditon in my family to eat twelve grapes in twelve seconds and then toast with champagne/apple cider. We also hang up balloons all around the living room (earlier during the day), as many as we can fit and then at midnight we go around popping them. I don't really know if there is a meaning behind it, but I think it's another way of celebrating.

NYE was a sober one for me too. Oh well.
